A very old violin with Italianate lines bearing the label "Dominicus Montagnana, Sub Signum Cremonae, Venetis, 1728." Given the rarity of this makers work, this instrument is very likely an expert copy of later vintage. It comes with the attached provenance which we feel is most likely incorrect.
